For the last couple years, our burgeoning art scene in South Florida has grown to new heights. While surrounding areas have played host for many of our area’s top artists, downtown Fort Lauderdale has continued overlook local artists and original music. That is, until now.
Green Room is a multi-function venue that caters to fans of our local creative community. With a large stage for bands, a newly installed art gallery that spans two floors, a sizeable dance floor, and affordable drinks, the Green Room has a little something for everyone.
On a typical Digital Love Thursday or Gallery Saturday, you can expect the resident DJs to be spinning indie/new wave/electro, live performances from up-and-coming local acts, food from nearby businesses, a burlesque show, a fashion show, live paintings, giveaways, and budget friendly drink specials. Every night will be feature different artists and performers, so make sure to check the website or Facebook page for details.
Black Fridays focus more on performance arts and DJs who’ll be spinning dark electronic, new wave, industrial, EBM, post-punk, darkwave, and electro. There will new and innovative guest DJs almost every week, so make sure to follow our Twitter or Facebook page for up-to-date details on all the events.
