Miami’s own Modernage journeys accross county lines to play a rare Ft Lauderdale show tonight for the latest installment of Digital Love. In fact, the indie rock quartet hasn’t played a show since Bardot, last April (read this great interview by Arielle on County Grind). In addition to unleashing 2 incredible EPs (Sirhan Sirhan and Receiver) laden with great tracks (stream some tracks below), this band has built quite an impressive resume in a relatively short period of time. Modernage has opened for a little band called Bloc Party, as well as The Stills, The Walkmen, Magnet, Elefant and Peter Hook. They’ve toured all over North America, including Mexico. Their videos have been gotten regular airplay nationally and throughout South America (check out Modernage’s interview with MTV). Even Toyota is a fan– the company hand selected their song “The Shore” for a popular Yaris ad campaign.
Googling “Modernage” alone isn’t super easy (damn you The Strokes, Modernage furniture, and everything else that clogs the search results). Thankfully Spotify makes it easier to stream music for free. We also want to help the cause. Stream some of our favorite tracks from the band below…
